Welcome to Black Ridge. BR is a realistic wolf rp with loose plot, leaving room for everything else to happen. I mean seriously, how often are we able to join a site and just throw a random idea in, then see it go somewhere and not shunned? Well this is the place. As of June 2008, Black Ridge was opened to the public. We have three packs, a friendly staff team, rank system and more. There is no pure good or pure evil based IC guidelines and we encourage members to pick up the idea of quality, rather than quantity.

Book of Records (Updates) Whereas we have the announcements for any ooc changes, the updates is a place to keep track of all the ongoing In character activity. E.g - Mates, Pups, Pregnancies, Fights etc. If your character should get in a scuffle, find a mate and so forth please post in the appropriate designated thread. Submit Bio After you've read the rules and information, come here to create your wonderful character applications. Copy and Paste the form within and then fill in the blanks. Simple enough, no? Collaborate a Plot The title speaks for itself really. While Black Ridge has a very loose story line open change at any time with what occurs In Character, we also encourage players (if they feel the need) to come up with their own mini plots - should they want to. Maybe your looking for someone to play a lost relative, or perhaps you need someone to help form a small plot between characters. Anything is possible really, feel free to give it a go. Black Ridge The Black Ridge pack is based around the edge of a canyon to the east. Some of the stones along the canyon wall have a dark onyx quality to them, giving the ridge it's name. Further east is the canyon itself, dropping hundred of feet below. However, the main territory itself is more of a mix between plains and woodlands. Thin tree lines and patches of nothing but grass and wilderness sprinkle this part of the valley. One can easily come across a dug out den or a hallow log to rest within. The terrain is somewhat un level, as hills make up the foundation for the territory. The soil here is rather rich in comparison to some of Ferial and as such, it was the prime reason the pack chose this area as their domain. Aside from the wolves inhabiting this land not much suitable game can be found here aside from the occasional rodent or hare. Moderators: Fell, Girika, Enola, Maybe ;;
Shattered Moonlight Shattered Moonlight's territory lies just on the outskirts of the Ruins. The landscape could be considered rather 'jungle like'. Trees, foliage, roots and undergrowth entangle their way throughout the pack lands. There are only a few scarce spots where one might find flat untouched soil, and as a result, most of the time their dens reside under the roots of trees. However, due to the rather difficult nature of the terrain, one could easily find traversing the province quite challenging. There is but one clear and worn grassy path within the forest and at one point it leads in two different directions. One to the Ruins, the other towards the Doron river. Aside from this, there is a small grove suitable for relaxing or meeting up with other pack members. Moderators: Fell, Girika, Enola, Maybe ;;
Hallowed Falls The Hallowed Falls is centered around a large waterfall near the base of the Pale Mountains. It's the prime source for the Doron river and if not for the falls, then Ferial Valley might find itself without water. The dark colored liquid falls straight into a large pool of water than narrows out into a stream and after a quarter of a mile extends into the river itself. Because it is located so near to the rocky mountains, the pack can easily shelter themselves along the lower caverns scattered along the region. Some say a cave exists behind the falls themselves, but because of the strong and ever flowing current it is not something many are willing to try and find out, as it is easy to fall under the crushing weight of the water and never come back up. The terrain is not quite as barren as the mountains, but it is not as lush as the forest either. A few spare trees can be found here or there, but for the most part the earth is rough with growing patches of gold and brown grass. Moderators: Fell, Girika, Enola, Maybe ;;
Pale Mountains The mountainous expanse stretches out in several miles along the North West region. It's name was given due to the lack of greenery and often snow covered landscape. Very little wild life manages to grow here, let alone find any real nourishment. Some contribute this to the fire that broke out a few years ago, practically stripping the mountains of life; leaving only bare and broken trees in it's stead. Burnt, old and rotting wood litter the stoney ground, accompanied by the rare shrub that managed to re grow. Due to the elevation alone, frost and snow nearly cover the Pale Mountain range all year long, though in the Spring it hardly surpasses more than a few inches at best. At night, the scenery almost has a soft and gentle pale glow to it. Nonetheless however, it is not the most prosperous or accommodating terrain. Moderators: Fell, Girika, Enola, Maybe ;;
Vale of Ruins No one is quite sure what this place was, only that it is now one of the most well known pieces of land within the Ferial Valley. The ruins have an uncanny feeling to them. What is suspected to have been a man made is no more than a series of crumpled stone walls and a set of underground caverns. Moss and undergrowth crawl along what walls remain and several of the large rocks are now completely covered in foliage. A broken arch rests at the start of what is now no more than a grove. Trees have sprouted up from the earth in an abundance, though it is not enough to stop the bright rays of light from breaking through the tree tops. Further within the ruins is set of odd looking stones that descend downwards into a stretch of old tunnels. Most have collapsed, but some still lead on for a few miles under the earth. One should be cautious where they step here, as the remainder of the structure is quite unstable and occasionally breaks down without warning. The Vale of Ruins is known best for finding a quiet peace of mind, yet has also been known to burry those who wander carelessly. Moderators: Fell, Girika, Enola, Maybe ;;

Sable Woods A large patch of Forest, Sable woods has a multitude of trees ranging in size from the smallest sapling to the tallest oak. The outskirts of the forest is quick easy to traverse through, but the further in one goes, the denser everything is. They say that if you go far enough within the Sable woods, one can find a place entirely void of sunlight. Of course, this is merely a rumor as no one ever really goes that far. Within there is a large rock face called 'Jagged Rock', which houses a bear in the winter on occasion. Waking it's occupant would be unwise, and most steer clear of the place. Nonetheless, the woods provide ample cover and shade on those hot days, and during the barren seasons like autumn and winter, the trees and foliage do well to keep out the rain and snow in some regions. Doron River The river, formerly known as the 'Black River' was given the name of Doron shortly after his death, since it was here that the proud Alpha perished. The flowing stream of water may appear to be unadvisable in drinking due to the fact it's dark shimmering surface, but it is quite safe to partake of it's sustenance. However, one should be wary of it's depths, as after a few feet inwards it drops dramatically. The strong current is known to pull things under, and mother's are wise to keep an eye on their pups if they play here. The Doron river snake's it's way throughout the Ferial Valley, starting from the mountains. It's muddy banks and tall grassy reeds provide suitable shelter for lower creatures like mice and frogs. While it's also a good place to find fish, the chance of catching one is less likely since they often follow the current downstream. Moderators: Fell, Girika, Enola, Maybe ;;
Firefly Thicket The Firefly thicket resides just east of the Hallowed Falls and Sable woods. It is a small landscape within a field, dappled with tall patches of undergrowth ranging between the simplest vegetation to the red choke berry flowers. During the day, it may seem like nothing more than a plain stretch of land, however at night it is a different story. Varying from a few to a small multitude of Fireflies reside here. Fluttering and flying this way that, emitting bright round lights to appear zipping through the air. If you manage to be still long enough, one or two might even land on you. The image these creatures create at night is one of strange awe. But once daylight breaks, it almost seems as if nothing is or ever was there at all. Aside from the Fireflies, the small field is also known to attract an abundance of prey including deer, elk and rabbits. Aside from it's nocturnal attractions, it is a prime place to hunt and find food. Moderators: Fell, Girika, Enola, Maybe ;;

The Lobo Tree The Lobo Tree, better known as the "Wolf Tree", like much of the Ferial Valley was once considered Black Ridge's pride and joy. They say when looked upon in a certain light, the gnarled and twisting branches form the shape of a wolf. Though most go their whole lives without really looking at it, and many just say it's a rumor and that it was given it's name to Honor the found of Black Ridge, Lobo himself. The tree stands well over thirty feet high and it's outstretched branches seem to duck and dive in every direction. The trunk surprisingly is rather thing, and one cannot help but wonder how it manages to still stand to this day. No grass is found around the base of the tree, only dirt and a few stones. However, after about seven feet long and lush grass of green and gold spread over the soil. The tree rests amidst a patch of meadow and within it, no other trees can be found. A few large stones inlay the surface of the earth here or there, providing an ample place to sit. Moderators: Fell, Girika, Enola, Maybe ;;

Winter has taken hold of the land, resulting in light snow storms and days with little sunlight. After Akevia's treacherous act of betrayal and murder of Doron; Ruler and Alpha of Black Ridge, everything is beginning to appear rather bleak. With the loss of Doron, the Black Ridge Pack has fallen to ruin. Leaving no rightful Heir to take his stead, three wolves have stepped up to take control. Each led by different motives, one pack became soon became three. This division of unity seems to be leading each pack towards conflict, and no one is quite sure what the future may hold. What will become of Black Ridge?
